Brooks Crossing Family Ministry is spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world! This unique family based music ministry is primarily known for delivering the message of Christianity through Country Crossover Gospel Music. Although much of their music is geared toward the Country-Bluegrass genre, Brooks Crossing reaches out to a variety of audiences with their refreshing style and takes pleasure in the fact that all ages can appreciate the message of the Gospel through their music. The family's story starts back in 2001, when the family experienced God and the message of the finished work of the Cross like never before. Jesus suddenly became very real and personal to their lives. Since then, they have felt lead to use their God-given gifts and talents for His glory. The tight-knit group says they have always enjoyed singing and delight in traveling around together doing what they love.

Misty Richard - Crow

With a down home accent and powerful vocals, Misty shares the love of music in a heart-felt way. Misty was born in September of 1983 and raised in Texas. Singing since the age of 3, Misty’s roots in Country Music run deep. Laughing, she reminisces “I remember turning up the radio and singing along. I could have a concert anywhere-but most of them were in my bedroom!” At that time she didn’t have much of an audience, but still entertained the thought of one.  As the years went by, Misty used her talent to sing the National Anthem at local school football games and other school events. When she was 13, her Mom and Dad took her to a recording studio just outside of Abilene. “I loved every minute of that!” she recalls, “I remember thinking, this is what I want to do.” Since then, Misty worked on developing her skill by listening to other artist and practicing for hours every day after school.
In 2001, Misty gave her life to Christ and got an opportunity to share her love of God and music by becoming a music minister. “There was such joy in that job,” she recalls. “I found a new love: JESUS! As much as I loved music, I loved Him more!  I wanted to sing to glorify God and give people hope. After much prayer and leading from God, He allowed me to use my talent for Him and others- nothing could have been better!” As the years went by, Misty found a new way to express her love for God by song writing and playing the mandolin. She has written 8 of the 10 songs on Brooks Crossing’s first CD “A Journey For Christ” and many have not yet been cut.
Misty married Rusty Crow in 2001 and currently lives in the country just outside of Bertram, Texas.  In 2003 their family grew to three with the birth of their daughter, Halli. The Crow family has 2 Collies, a Sheltie, and a Calico cat. Misty enjoys spending time with her family and the outdoors. One of her favorite places to go is the coast.

Brandi Richard - Brizendine

Born in the Summer of 1985, Brandi was the middle of three girls. Growing up in a modest home she was taught the value of family. At a young age Brandi and her sisters discovered their talent for singing and as small children often dreamed of being on stage together. Being raised in Texas she always had an appericiation for Country Music. This was something passed down from both sides of her family. After giving her life to the LORD in 2001, Brandi's love of music shifted toward Gospel. " I still love Country Music but Gospel allows me to share my faith with others and I believe this is God's purpose for me."
However out of the three, Brandi was always the shy one.  She would often struggled with stage fright and avoided being the center of attention. Sadly, this seemed to progress. An unpleasant memory  that she recalls happened when she was 13. Brandi was asked to give a presentation at school. When it came her turn, she fainted. "Being that frightened is one of the worst feelings in the world." She accredits her victory over her struggle to the LORD. "It took some time but I sing for Him and He holds me up."
Brandi is the wife of John Brizendine and the mother of two small children, Tyler and Crissy. When Brandi is not singing or sharing her faith, she is perfectly content being a mom. "Being a mom has taught me so much about life. It is the hardest and most rewarding task God has given me." She also has a love for Photography and Film. "I love how it captures time! What a beautiful blessing!" "I believe God has given us all abilities that are to be used for His glory. From singing to being a mom and everything in between. Everything I do in life is centered around my love for the LORD. I pray He uses it to reach and comfort others."
